LSI Logic SAS3442X PCI-X SAS HBA
LegendKiller was the Seller on September 26, 2006 AnandTech
This is, unfortunately, the worst buy that I\'ve made where I actually received the goods.
The seller offered to send ?Ç£priority?Ç¥ for $5 more, and I accepted the offer for ?Ç£priority mail?Ç¥; but he sent it via UPS instead. The seller had to be prompted to acknowledge receipt of payment and of shipment of the item. The item was poorly packaged and the box arrived quite beat-up; I think that I\'m lucky that there was no damage to the card. Finally, the seller implied that the card came with all of the retail accoutrement, but no driver disc came with the card. I easily could have let any one of these slide (after all, no one is perfect); but, together, they\'re hard to ignore.
When I let the seller know that these issues were holding me back from giving him a positive review and gave him a chance to respond, he insulted me and threatened retaliatory feedback, among other things.
As the forum rules say, ?Ç£People, if you have time to post a FS thread, to receive payment... and to strike a deal to begin with, you have time to pack your items properly.... And very important is to set aside a few minutes of the day to COMMUNICATE with those with whom you have deals open.?Ç¥
I don\'t know why someone would all but beg for negative feedback like this, but, instead of a neutral, he\'s going to get what he wants.
Response from LegendKillerI would agree that this is the worst transaction.
1. He never specified USPS priority. I have a natural aversion against USPS and thought that UPS Priority (2nd day) would be fine, especially considering I paid $20 for it.
2. The box wasn\'t damaged in shipping. The small box was damaged from a move, where the card was in my computer. If he had politely asked I would have informed of him of that, instead he started flothing at the mouth. The card was in an anti-static bag, surrounded by rubber-foam. The box it was in was well wrapped in bubble-wrap, which was then wrapped in thick packing paper and then put into another box. The whole thing was well packaged. It would have taken a whole ton of force to hurt it. As I stated, the retail box was crumpled a little from a move while the actual card was sitting in my computer, in it\'s own box. He flipped out over nothing.
3. I am mystified as to why he would throw a fit over a drivers disk, it was a minor oversight. The important stuff, such as SAS cables were included, as was some other stuff.
4. All emails and PMs were answered within 24 hours.
5. This guy seems to think the world revolves around him and that getting a card at 25% off, mandating all of the transaction details, throwing a fit about getting $20 shipping, and then missing a small drivers disk, is worth getting all broken up about.
I am sorry that a drivers disk and the fact that a better shipping method was used bothered him so much. I can\'t read minds and I left \"priority\" up to my own interpretation.
I didn\'t beg for negative feedback. Judging by his unfriendly disposition during the whole transaction, it was hardly surprising that he\'d end up giving me on, unless I gave him a kidney.
I have sold enough stuff to know that this dude just isn\'t all that nice. Perhaps we both had a bad week, I am not going to get all bent out of shape though.September 27, 2006

Cross Traded 2 IDE HDs + cash for his 73GB Seagate Cheetah 15.3K HD.
LegendKiller was the Seller on February 9, 2004 AnandTech
The best and MOST patient the dealer EVA!! We cross shipped the products even though I do not have enough cash (USD$250) for the HD. He agreed to do monthly installment so I eventually paid off the debt. This is one of the most expensive online deal I had and it went very smoothly. KUDOS! TO LEGENDKILLER!!

Sold an high end processor
LegendKiller was the Buyer on September 29, 2004 AnandTech
Shawn is an honest trader. I advertised I'd ship 1st to established traders and allow for testing. He informed me from the beginning he was waiting on a order before he could test. Rather than make me wait he sent payment without being asble to test the processor per agreement.
Don't get me wrong, Shawn is nobody's fool, but a good honest man to do business with.September 29, 2004
